- Role
- Page layout, pagination & typesetting — illustration by a guest artist
Page layout, pagination and typesetting for a placeholder children's book (illustration by others). Dummy description — replaced in Phase 7.
A 32-page illustrated children's book, laid out and typeset from manuscript to print files.
01Challenge
The publisher had finished illustrations and a manuscript, but no page plan — text and art had to share every spread without crowding either.
02Approach
A flexible grid and a page-by-page pagination map placed every scene, sized the type for early readers, and kept quiet margins around the art.
03Outcome
Delivered as print-ready files and approved by the printer on the first proof. (Placeholder outcome.)
“Mina turned a folder of illustrations and a manuscript into a book that feels effortless to read — the printer had zero notes. (Placeholder quote.)”
Deliverables
- 32-page interior layout
- Cover & spine typesetting
